Directions/Procedure
Using only the materials pictured, balance the popsicle stick vertically on the wooden skewer. You must attempt for 5 full minutes. If you get stuck after that amount of time, you may ask your teacher for a hint.
Constraints:

No clips or pipe cleaners can touch or attach
to the skewer.

The skewer must lay flat on the table.

Your hands can only touch the skewer not
anything else.

You cannot use any other materials.

Only the skewer can touch the table.

Directions/Procedure

Get a Gaussian Gun and go in the hallway.

Place two steel spheres on the side of each magnet that points to the open end of the Gaussian Gun like the picture below.

Hold the Gaussian Gun underneath so that your fingers are not in the way of the steel spheres.

Point the open end away from you.

Roll one steel sphere down the closed end of the Gaussian Gun (the opposite end of the spheres you put on the magnets).

The last sphere will launch down the hallway. You MUST go find it! If you think you lost it, ask your teacher for help.

Gravity in a Minute
A gravitational force is a non-contact force. It acts at a distance and it is an attraction or pull between any two objects with mass. The greater the mass of an object the greater its force of gravity. The magnitude of gravity is also affected by distance. The further objects are apart the weaker the force of gravity between them. So, the closer objects are to each other the stronger their gravitational pull. The Sun's gravity keeps all of the planets in orbit around it. Earth's gravity is what keeps you on its surface and what makes things fall to the ground.
