Station 1: Eggselent Egg Drop
1. Read the Big Ideas:
2. Ask your teacher to explain the directions to you.
3. Here is a video of the lab if you are absent. But, if you are in person, don’t just watch the video, actually DO the lab!
4. Answer the lab questions.

Station 2: Momentous Propulsion
1. Read the Big Ideas:
2. Get a basketball and a tennis ball.
3. Go outside.
4. Hold 2 balls at arms length while holding the tennis ball directly over top of the basketball.
5. Drop the balls at the same time. (Like this - Example Video - Watch the video if you are confused about what should happen!)
6. Repeat the process with the basketball on top of the tennis ball.
7. Answer the lab questions.

Station 3: Helium Balloon
1. Read the Big Ideas:
2. Your challenge is to make a helium balloon hover between the floor and the ceiling.
3. There should be a ribbon attached to the balloon. First attach a paper clip to the ribbon.
4. Now, add an index card to the ribbon and paper clip.
5. Add and/or remove small pieces of index cards until the balloon hovers in between the ceiling and the floor.
6. Answer the lab questions.

Station 4: Gravity Card Sort
1. Read the Big Ideas:
2. Sort each gravity pair into the "Most Gravity" column or the "Least Gravity" column on your sorting mat. Keep each pair on the same row of the mat.
3. Once all of your cards are sorted on your mat, ask your teacher to check your work.
4. Answer the lab questions.

Q4P3: Gravity Text and Formative
Google Classroom: None
Checkpoints: At the end
1. Read this Gravity Text.
2. Then, complete this Gravity Formative.
3. Look at your answers.
4. Go show Mrs. Roehm your results and tell her which Big Idea provides the most challenge for you.
Q4P4: Reassess
From Your Folder/Binder: Get out your Forces and Motion Learning Target Page.
Reassess only on targets FM.4 (Gravity), SEP7 (Text Evidence), and SEP6 (Relationship Statements).
